Wholesale voice and data communications provider Entanet anticipates seeing a huge boost in hosted VoIP and SIP trunking services sales in 2011, the company said on Tuesday.

Entanet's VoIP development team has continued to make enhancements and add features to the company's hosted VoIP, easy pre-pay, customized and SIP trunking services to make them more intuitive and easy to install. Elsa Chen, general manager of Entanet, expects these improvements to result in the massive growth of hosted VoIP sales in the coming year.

Chen said that the interest level in VoIP has increased considerably over the last 12 months and should continue to accelerate in 2011.

"Businesses of all sizes are starting to realize that they can do more with their broadband and leased line connections than access and distribute information and the growing acceptance of the concept of hosted applications has been a big driver in VoIP coming to the fore," Chen noted in a statement. "We've seen a noticeable rise in the number of inquiries our partners are making for VoIP services and are anticipating further growth in the current year and into 2012."

Chen added that resellers that specialize in broadband, traditional PBX (News - Alert) related telephony sales and other data connectivity services can diversify their revenue streams through the incorporation of hosted VoIP solutions.

Entanet has forecasted that its VoIP business will double in 2011, and then grow another 100 percent in the following year. The company expects its two primary offerings – VoIP Enrich and VoIP EasyAccess – to lead the way.

VoIP Enrich is designed to provide channel partners with a comprehensive, functional and easy-to-use hosted, business-class IP voice service that resellers can present as their own. Chen said that the service provides a myriad of next-generation features, including hunt groups, call queuing, auto attendant functionality and call recording.

VoIP EasyAccess, on the other hand, was developed for users with existing PBXs. The service provides partners with SIP trunking with call termination capabilities and full UK geographical numbering.
