CloudTC and ITEXPO West 2011exhibitor 2600hz are ready to make some noise at the communications technologies conference and expo being held this week in Austin, Texas.

The software innovator in business applications and IP telephony, and the cloud-based voice solutions provider, respectively, will be unveiling the integration of a distributed scalable VoIP platform, Whistle, with the CloudTC Glass 1000, which has been dubbed by the companies as the industry’s “smartest IP phone,” according to a press release.

The combined solution, which will be on display at 2600hz’s booth, No. 210, will deliver enhanced business productivity apps, including teleconferencing and call transcription, as well as enhanced telephony features, such as one-touch dialing and instant screen sharing, to enterprise users.

The unveiling corresponds with 2600hz officially becoming an authorized distributor of CloudTC Glass smart IP phones, which will be offered through a beta program to the company’s VoIP carrier customers.

"We are excited to partner with CloudTC and enable business customers to deploy a hosted VoIP solution faster while spending less time managing infrastructure," said 2600hz CEO and co-founder Darren Schreiber.

A carrier-grade, distributed VoIP applications platform, Whistle offers both security and scalability as a hosted solution for small businesses, all the way up to the largest enterprises, making it a perfect fit for the Glass, which can combine voice calls with advanced productivity features. In fact, Glass has been widely received by VoIP service providers, like 2600hz, who reap the benefits of a lower investment in R&D, less time to market, and the ability to build phone features and application suites for business users.

"Whistle and Glass make an unbeatable combination,” Schreiber added.

2600hz’s Hosted Conferencing whApp (Whistle App) is a true example of the Glass’ potential and uniqueness. The app, which allows the conference call host to view a pop-up display on the IP phone’s 8.9-inch, high-resolution, color touchscreen LCD, also lists all conference call participants and thus enables the host to better manage the call.

"The Hosted Conferencing whApp is a perfect feature to illustrate the advanced capabilities that make the Glass 1000 unique," said Anthony Gioeli, CloudTC CEO. "Our large color touchscreen, intuitive user interface, and high-quality, high definition audio all combine to transform the mundane conference call into an efficient and manageable experience."

To learn more about this innovative business communications solution, ITEXPO West attendees can see it in action at booth No. 210, Sept. 13 to 15.
