Infobright Chosen by Sonus Networks for Real-Time VoIP Analytics

Infobright recently announced that Sonus Networks (News - Alert), Inc. had selected its Infobright Enterprise Edition. This will now be used as Sonu’s new embedded analytic database for its Network Analytics solutions which will be used to measure and monitor network performance. Sonus is a one of the leading companies in next-generation IP-based network solutions. The company’s voice over-IP (VoIP) products have been purchased by many of the world's largest telecom network operators and Fortune 500 enterprises.

In a release, Wassim Matragi, vice president of Sonus' Network Design and Analysis Group said, "Our customers rely on our analytic solutions to provide them with real-time actionable insight on their network performance and understanding of their customers' Quality of Experience. Using Infobright with our Network Analytics solutions provides our customers with outstanding database query performance, especially for ad-hoc analytics and instantaneous drill-down into large volumes of CDR data. This delivers a preemptive, results-oriented approach to managing the overall network performance."

By adding Infobright to the Network Analytics solutions, Sonus customers will now have the ability to do fast ad-hoc analysis and instantly drill-down into specific control points to immediately identify the cause of service-affecting problems. Apart from this, Infobright's deep-data compression, which uses significantly less disk storage, will further assist Sonus customers by helping them to maintain a longer data history which can then be used to do a trending analysis.

Don DeLoach, CEO of Infobright, said, "Sonus' selection of Infobright as the new embedded database for its network analytics applications demonstrates how well suited our technology is for large-scale telecom analytics. We appreciate the faith that Sonus has put in our company and we look forward to working together to ensure a successful roll-out."
