Charter Business' Voice Service Offerings Include SIP Trunking

Voice service offerings from Charter Business have been expanded to include SIP Trunking. An announcement in this regard has been made by the top broadband communications company, Charter Communications (News - Alert) Inc. A high-quality, reliable voice service will be delivered by SIP Trunking to large and mid-size businesses. A converged voice and data fiber network will be used for the same. Increased utilization needs can be met as the network is easily scalable. Customers therefore will not need to purchase separate circuits or connections for voice traffic.

According to Jim McGann who is the SVP of Charter Business, customers with an IP-PBX (News - Alert) will be able to take maximum advantage of their IP capabilities with Charter Business SIP Trunking. Data and voice can be converged over the same access connection.

In a release, McGann said, "Our SIP Trunking solution simplifies configuration, reduces equipment costs and makes moves, additions or modifications simple. Charter Business now offers a range of voice solutions for business customers of all sizes from phone for small offices to PRI and SIP trunking for more complex voice needs."

Businesses will be able to lower the total cost of ownership with Charter Business SIP Trunking. Network efficiency will be also made available to businesses in increments of four-call path. In the event that service is disrupted at a business location, businesses will be able to reroute calls to any phone. Charter's state-of-the art network will be used to carry the calls. Up-time will be maximized as the calls will be monitored 24/7/365.

Charter Business is expected to launch the scalable voice solution by the year end in Wisconsin and Missouri. The solution is also expected to be launched enterprise wide in early 2012.

Organizations are provided with scalable, tailored, and cost-effective broadband communications solutions by Charter Business. These include business-to-business Internet access and data networking. Business telephone, video and music entertainment services and wireless backhaul are also included. State-of-the-art, fiber-based network is used by Charter Business to offer competitively priced bundled products. Efficiency can be therefore maximized by businesses in a variety of industries.
