Network Equipment Technologies (News - Alert), a provider of enterprise-class networking solutions that ensure secure real-time communications in unified communications (UC), SIP Trunking and enterprise mobility, announced that L’Occitane en Provence has successfully deployed NET’s (News - Alert) VX Series.

In a release Stephen Roux, infrastructure system manager for L’Occitane said, “The NET team has partnered with us for several years as we have upgraded from Microsoft (News - Alert) OCS 2007 to Microsoft Lync 2010.”

NET has delivered the technology solution in several countries where we have operations and we expect to continue adding more. NET's technical support and customer service has been outstanding and we are grateful for the local presence, guidance and technical knowledge they offered within their global organization of UC professionals,” Roux added.

It was revealed that the client organization an international retailer of body, face, and home products, is using the NET solution as a strategic VoIP solution to modernize and globalize communication. This has resulted in cost efficiencies besides enhancing productivity for its professionals.

L’Occitane deployed enterprise voice capabilities with support from NET to serve around 1,000 professionals in three countries. Also the company will deploy its solutions in two more countries and begin utilizing NET’s new UX Series platform in 2012.

Also the NET equipment worked as a media gateway and allowed L’Occitane to fully integrate the solution with its existing PBX (News - Alert) environment. NET also provided local technical expertise besides the equipment.

Philippe Blanquart, regional sales director of NET remarked, “NET’s ability to manage the complex requirements of system implementations across multiple countries is one of the primary benefits that distinguish us.”

Blanquart further added that in the case of L’Occitane the company’s local resources as well as the global UC expertise of NET’s international team were leveraged to deploy a VoIP network in multiple countries. This also allows the upgrade of the Microsoft software with less risk and disruption for customers.

Officials explained that NET’s VX and UX Series were fully integrated multi-service voice switches that enhance VoIP communications for enterprise deployments. Both platforms interoperate with all leading PBX and IP-PBX vendor protocols and are able to ensure easy installation and minimal maintenance requirements.

Recently, NET announced the appointment of Kevin Isacks as acting chief development officer. He was serving the company as the chief technology officer.
