InfoSystems Appoints Leslie Sloan as Director of Communications Services


InfoSystems has announced the appointment of 20-year veteran of the communications industry, Leslie Sloan as the director of Communications Services.


After five years with PAETEC (News - Alert) Communications, where she led team of sales, customer service and operations staff focused on small and medium businesses in the Chattanooga and Knoxville areas, Sloan now joins InfoSystems. She is a 20-year veteran of the communications industry and will lead the expansion of communication solutions for InfoSystems, the company stated in a press release.

“Leslie’s experience in building, training and leading teams in the communications industry will be critical to our success this year in providing our customers with the best solutions,” said Tim Phelan, InfoSystems chief operating officer. “We’re seeing a demand from our customers for solutions that will enable their businesses to be more efficient. By combining the best of the PBX’s (News - Alert) functionality with the latest in unified communications and telecom managed services, InfoSystems can help our customers unify all communications.”

Three members of InfoSystems’ communications services team recently attained Mitel (News - Alert) certifications: Steve Maples, communications technology specialist, completed training and is now a certified technician on the Mitel 3300; Dave Gaskill, communications technology specialist, completed training and is certified in the Mitel NuPoint Unified Messaging; Daniel Smith, communications solution specialist, completed training and is a certified technician in the Mitel 5000.

Sloan stated that the company is positioned to deliver the best of all worlds when it comes to voice and data with InfoSystems’ strategic partnerships with IBM (News - Alert), Microsoft and Mitel.

Recently, the company announced that Michael Wallace, director of software services, has co-authored the book, “IT Governance: Policies and Procedures”, a ready-reference desk manual that can be used by companies to create tailored systems policy and procedure programs for their businesses.

Wallace has more than 25 years of experience in the information systems field. He graduated magna cum laude from Wright State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Science.
