Cloud-based phone provider Vocalocity (News - Alert) just took on some new customers from fellow VoIP provider DigiTalk, a move that will bring newer features to subscribers.
The terms of the deal have yet to be disclosed, however both companies feel this merger will allow DigiTalk to remain competitive in an already-competitive market.
“Vocalocity was the obvious choice to advance our capabilities in this competitive market, and provide 24 by 7 support for our customers. Vocalocity is the clear market leader with a proven track record serving customers like ours. We simply would not have made the decision to sell if we weren’t confident that our customers would be better served,” says Lee Clark-Sellers, CEO at DigiTalk in a press release.
Customer acquisition is beyond doubt the number one priority for VoIP and communications providers. Whether you're a merchant or an associate/affiliate of a merchant, the goal is to grow sales and, of course, to provide a better experience for the customer.
“We’ve enjoyed tremendous year-over-year growth and our experience working with companies like DigiTalk to bring advanced capabilities to their customers is an important part of our strategy,” said Wain Kellum, CEO of Vocalocity. “Our scale allows us to build more capabilities into our communications platform that makes the phone system work harder for our customers. Our customers find that they can sell more and service better by using all of the capabilities that we provide.”
Vocalocity’s desktop solution was recently named Product of the Year by INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine.
Perfect for companies that have 50 users or fewer per site, Vocalocity Desktop comes configured with free LinkedIn (News - Alert), Google Search, and Caller Locator plug-ins. Once downloaded, Vocalocity Desktop runs in the background on a Vocalocity customer’s computer.
“I am happy to grant Vocalocity with a Product of the Year Award. The editors of INTERNET TELEPHONY have verified that Vocalocity Desktop displays quality and innovation, plus provides real needs in the marketplace,” stated Rich Tehrani, TMC (News - Alert) CEO. “I would like to congratulate the entire team at Vocalocity for their commitment to advancing IP communication technologies.”
Kellum said, “Since our inception, we’ve had a vision to become the best communications provider to small business. This latest accolade from INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine is definitely a milestone toward reaching our vision and a testament to a very hard working and innovative team. We are enjoying the acknowledgement but realize the best is yet to come.”
