For the past seven years, IDI, formerly Info Directions (News - Alert), is stated to have provided Wholesale Carrier Services (WCS) with its billing and operations solution and electronic bill presentment and payment interface.

IDI develops billing, rating, order management, workflow and selling solutions and the company explained that its CostGuard is not just a telecom billing software but a comprehensive, scalable and reliable platform for creating and selling products, caring for customers, and collecting revenue. With CostGuard's wireline, mobile, next-gen, and convergent editions, service providers can capture significant bottom-line benefits with any business model.

The CostGuard solution has been helping WCS manage complex product schemas and build a single, consolidated communications service invoice for enterprise customers.

The IDI OnlineBill web portal is an e-commerce solution that allows service providers to present invoices, receive payments and sell additional services, features and equipment. Utilizing OnlineBill, providers can build customer relationships and deliver greater access to account information while continuing to reduce printing, processing, service and administration costs.

WCS is stated to have leveraged OnlineBill to create paperless invoicing option and comprehensive customer care capabilities for clients that resulted in a more user friendly billing experience.
