Daum Communications, a popular web portal in South Korea, has integrated SoliCall's (News - Alert) Mobile SDK into its VoIP network. By doing so, it hopes to improve the audio quality of its VoIP application for its customer base.
“We are happy that Daum chose us as the provider of audio quality for their mobile VoIP application,” said Moses Benjamin, director of marketing at SoliCall, in a press release.
According to Benjamin, the significant increase in SoliCall’s respectable customer base is a clear indication of the company being positioned as a marketing leader for voice quality enhancement.
Daum's VoIP application runs on both iPhone and Android (News - Alert), and SoliCall's Mobile SDK is said to improve audio quality considerably on both devices. According to company officials, it offers noise reduction, noise suppression, echo cancellation, echo suppression and AGC and works with most popular platforms.
Furthermore, it can be integrated as part of the audio path. Its software can be used for filtering noise both at the server and the client side. It offers bi-directional improvement in voice quality and requires minimal CPU and memory requirements.
SoliCall's technology works either on the network or on the end units, offers OEM products and stand-alone plug-and-play products and can be created for any mobile OS. The SDK targets VoIP providers for mobile devices and also manufacturers of cellular phones and provides operators with a lower OPEX (News - Alert).
In related news, SoliCall announced that it has added wideband support to its enterprise level PBXMate product. This aligns with the company's on-going commitment for improving audio quality.The new wideband support enables SoliCall's customers to improve audio quality even further. The PBXMate is used by call centers and organizations to remove ambient noise, keep audio at a comfortable level, and perform server side echo cancellation.
