Internet hosting solutions provider GalaxyVisions has announced a new dedicated server plan designed for Internet telephony providers, for the low price of $99 per month.
For the month of May only, the New York-based company will also waive any setup fees for those who order this new plan. The special is meant to coincide with the International Telecoms Week conference, held in Chicago this year from May 14-16.
The plan is aimed specifically at Voice over IP providers, and features a server with dual Intel (News - Alert) Xeon server processors running at 3GHz and 4 gigabytes of RAM. The server also comes loaded up with two 73GB SCSI drives in a raid 1 setup and, on the software side, Windows 2003 comes pre-installed along with Norton antivirus software.
GalaxyVisions' New York data center enjoys a respected reputation among VoIP providers because it is well aware of how poor latency and inefficient network routing can hurt the quality of VoIP calls. As such, the company's network is capable of reaching most foreign countries in under 10 hops and well below the 300ms latency threshold required for clarity in VoIP conversations.
GalaxyVisions' facility also features separate network segments provisioned especially for VoIP clients.
"Dedicated hosting is the ideal solution for VoIP providers that need reliable and cost-effective systems but do not have the budget for their own data center,” said Raymond Sidler, President of GalaxyVisions. “GalaxyVisions can help your company dramatically increase its return on investment – even more so during the month of May."
GalaxyVisions representatives will be available at the International Telecoms Week conference, along with reps from its sister company ColoGuard, in order to answer any questions about its May offer.
ColoGuard's exhibit at the conference this year will also feature information about its network's infrastructure for potential customers.
