The Cableshow 2012 is an event that brings people, products and platforms together, and Eyeball Networks (News - Alert) took this opportunity to showcase its patented suite of true carrier-grade VoIP and video telephony products.
Eyeball's innovative software development kit and network/server products have all been designed to overcome the barriers hindering the delivery of reliable VoIP and Video telephony services for years, company officials said.
Although IP telephony or VoIP has been endearing itself to telecoms and is touted as an alternative to traditional telephone service, it is still an emerging technology that has a long way to go.
NATs and firewalls break end-to-end connectivity for networked applications including VoIP, resulting in poor voice and video quality that turn users off. This has been one of the main reasons the hype surrounding VoIP hasn’t really translated into reality.
"Tier 1 network service providers cannot offer sub-standard services to their subscribers – the risk of losing customers to a poor experience is too great," said Matt Sims, vice president of Eyeball Networks.
But Eyeball Networks' suite of products with patented technologies, on display at Cableshow 2012, promises to mitigate these risks and guarantees the best possible VoIP experience and guaranteed connectivity through any NAT or firewall, across any network and to any device.
"These are more than just guarantees" said Chris Piche, CEO at Eyeball Networks. "These are promises we make to each and every customer, and we take these promises very seriously."
Other news reports Eyeball Networks announced the re-release of its AnyFirewall Developers Community site to provide VoIP application developers, service providers and device makers additional tools and resources to tackle one of the biggest barriers to mass adoption of VoIP.
