In an effort to deliver improved audio quality, Japan Communications, a major data MVNOs in Japan, has reportedly integrated SoliCall’s (News - Alert) PBXMate noise and echo cancelling technologies into its VoIP Network.
JCI offers 3G cellular wireless data communication services in Jaon and the U.S. Using infrastructure supplied by mobile carriers, the company delivers value- added services such as VoIP over 3G combined with a unique pricing structure and imported smartphone devices. JCI is using a home grown VoIP application focused on smaller bandwidth requirements. It runs on mobile devices and PCs.
SoliCall ‘s audio quality improvement solutions, which are designed to be used both for server-side/network filtering and client-side filtering, are expected to help JCI achieve high audio quality on all the devices (mobile & desktop) without increasing their CPU load and without the need to develop a specific solution for each device.
SoliCall's PBXMate can be easily integrated with any VoIP Network, supporting SIP or H.323, and it runs on Linux & Windows. The solution, according to its maker, is used to filter all calls entering a conference room to enhance the audio quality in conference calls. It can reduce background noise coming from external cellular phones or from other external systems and performs server side Echo Cancellation/Echo Suppression.
In addition to monitoring call quality (Noise Level, AGC Coef, Echo level, Jitter, Latency, Packet Loss & MOS Scores), it helps improve the accuracy of speech recognition engines and also record calls in a network.
“Latency and jitter in the wireless world is very unstable compared to traditional wireline and we’ve been looking for solutions that actually work under such difficult conditions across the globe. SoliCall was the only solution that met our criteria,” senior VP for Japan Communications Inc., Yasushi Kudo explained in a statement.
“We are happy that JCI chose us as the best provider of audio quality for their VoIP network. SoliCall’s PBXMate helps JCI achieve high audio quality on all the devices (mobile & desktop) without increasing their CPU load and without the need to develop a specific solution for each device”, he said. “We can clearly see how our PBXMate product is dramatically boosting the toolset that network operators have to solve audio quality problems,” director of marketing for SoliCall, Moses Benjamin explained in a statement.
Few months back, SoliCall reported that Daum Communications, a popular Web portal in South Korea, has integrated SoliCall's Mobile SDK into its VoIP network.
