Due to similar goals and an identical commitment to growth and customer service, Chunghwa Telecom and Arkadin (News - Alert) signed a strategic agreement that will strengthen the collaboration service provider's presence in Asia-Pacific.
To underscore its commitment to the partnership, Arkadin is expected to open its 50th global office in Taipei and provide high quality audio conferencing and collaboration services to business customers in the region, according to officials.
"To deliver on our promise of providing the best and most advanced collaboration services in the market, we seek partnerships with telecoms who share similar commitment to growth and customer service excellence," said Olivier de Puymorin, CEO and founder at Arkadin.
As a result, Chunghwa customers will reportedly have access to a broader range of conferencing options and innovative services as the telecommunications provider in Taiwan seeks to extend its market potential.
Chunghwa provides fixed-line, mobile, Internet and data services to residential and business customers in Taiwan. Its industry-leading vision and networking excellence has propelled it to become one of the most respected telecommunications companies in the world.
Arkadin offers a complete range of remote audio, Web, video conferencing and unified communications solutions. The services are delivered in the SaaS (News - Alert) model for fast, scalable deployments and a high ROI.
"A core competitive advantage is our localized approach to business," said Serge Genetet, executive vice president of Asia Pacific, Arkadin. He added, "We look forward to working closely with Chunghwa's team to help grow and expand market share in the region."
T. F. Leng, president of Chunghwa Telecom (News - Alert) International business group, noted that Chunghwa customers would be able to access conferencing services even across mobile devices. He was confident that the combined strength of the partnership would drive innovation and increased market coverage in the region.
