In an emergency getting in touch with people who can help is important. To that end, Telcom & Data has introduced a series of emergency VOiP phones. The company has designed the phones to be used in public places such as elevators, parking garages, amusement parks, shopping malls and other places where people gather.

“These phones are critical for public safety,” Telcom & Data president, Ricardo Trinidad said.“With the simple push of a button, the caller receives immediate help. It couldn’t be easier.”

The phones are designed to be durable and last a long time under adverse conditions. The phones are painted with a rust-resistant finish and are designed to withstand rain and snow, as well as work in noisy environments.

The phones can be set to either autodial two numbers or connect to a PABX. A caller who needs to report an emergency can simply press the emergency button and be immediately connected to a predefined number. An LED gives visual confirmation of the call.

Telcom & Data specializes in making phones for tough locations, especially ones where explosives could be present.

Recently, the company has also rolled out a series of outdoor VOiP phones intended for industrial use. The phones are similarly resistant to the harsh conditions found on places like paper mills and public transportation facilities. The phones are designed to be resistant to weather conditions and wind-blown dust, making them suitable for applications like highway call boxes, as well as being resistant to harsh treatment by humans.

“These phones are reliable and virtually indestructible. Guardian has met our high standards and these phones are a welcome addition our product line,” Trinidad said.

In addition, Telcom & Data has released a series of phones designed for the extreme conditions in mines, allowing people who work in this harsh environment the ability to get help quickly in case of an emergency.
