Hitachi Chooses Octasic's NETTOWER CX-01 for its IP-PBX Setup

A company specializing in media processing and wireless solutions, Octastic has just announced that its Vocallo Media Gateway (MGW) multi-core DSP platform has been selected by Hitachi (News - Alert). Hitachi will use this platform with its hybrid IP-PBX NETTOWER CX-01. That particular pairing will be aimed at small and medium sized enterprises. This particular platform will be used in order to seamlessly combine its corporate data network with its TDM voice networks.

The NETTOWER CX-01 offers an IP-PBX (News - Alert) that is specifically used by small and medium sized enterprises. The high level of reliability, flexibility and scalability only gets better when clients add additional software upgrades that make the architecture of this particular IP-PBX setup eminently changeable. This particular setup also has quite a bit of support for Fixed Mobile Convergence (News - Alert) and smartphone support, making it easier for smartphone users to gain access on a day-to-day basis.

Hitachi has integrated Octasic's multi-core processor into NETTOWER CX-01 for voice media processing in VoIP. One of the reasons Hitachi has chosen Octasic as its provider is because Octasic will be the complete provider of its software and will act as a single source vendor to Hitachi. This means that Hitachi’s customers will be able to take advantage of the nation’s best echo cancelling and voice quality enhancement technology. James Awad (News - Alert), director of Marketing at Octasic, laid out why the company was chosen by Hitachi and why it feel it can fill the shoes Hitachi needs filled.

"Octasic's Vocallo MGW platform provides both the highest voice quality and video capabilities within a single DSP. We are happy that Hitachi has chosen Vocallo MGW for our state-of-the-art algorithms. This again proves that we offer the most flexible solutions on the market," Awad said. "We continue to be the vendor of choice for enterprise PBX developers."
