Voip-Pal.Com Inc. recently announced that it has successfully concluded the beta testing of the "Soft Switch" VoIP network framework. The company also stated that it has completed testing of five different patents which it acquired from Digifonica International (Gibraltar) Limited.
In a release, Dennis Chang, president of Voip-Pal, said, "In addition to our ability to license these patents to major players in the VoIP industry we will have the ability to license our proprietary framework to other VoIP companies to enable to them to meet and/or exceed current and future regulatory requirements with respect to areas such as Lawful Intercept and Emergency Services. While our Licensing focus will target significant Partner/Subscribers, Voip-Pal will also be able to generate licensing revenue from the competition as well."
Voip-Pal will use the recently acquired proprietary framework and intellectual property to offer an innovative solution to large scale VoIP equipment manufacturers and NSPs that will help them secure their corporate identity while also making it possible for them to deliver unique products and solutions to their subscribers.
Five patents with competitive and licensable technologies that have been listed by the VoIP industry include Rating-Billing-Routing engine (RBR), which can create routing messages for VoIP communications ensures improved subscriber management by new Licensees via their own subscriber management and billing platforms. These technology offerings provide setup and deployment support of Digital Voice solutions for any location within a matter of days. Licensees are assured of successful deployments without having to worry about infringing on mainstream VoIP patents.
Lawful Intercept as a transformational technology offering ensures compliance with national and international demands by governments, which make it easy for law agencies to conduct both scheduled and live intercepts (wiretaps) on Digital Voice telephone conversations.
Enhanced 911 - "Emergency Assistance calling for VoIP communications" provides subscribers of Digital Value with true Emergency Calling solutions.
The Mobile Gateway (News - Alert) technology makes it easy for a single subscriber device to automatically connect with Wi-Fi/WiMax and wireless data connections.
Uninterrupted Transmission of Internet Protocol Transmissions during Endpoint Changes supports the transfer of in-session digital voice calls even between disparate wireless technologies which means subscribers will now be able to leverage different WiFi, WiMAX (News - Alert), 3G and 4G antenna technologies without having to worry about losing a call.
