Telesphere (News - Alert), a company specializing in unified cloud communications, recently launched SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) trunking by building new super hubs in both Chicago and Atlanta.
This signifies yet another strategic move to further the company’s expansion strategy, which has been fueled by the explosive growth of unified communication, particularly by mid-sized, multi-site businesses looking to increase operational functionality while minimizing costs.
Telesphere’s IP enabled PBX (News - Alert) network is available to cloud and other communication networks via migration and provides a cost efficient, unsophisticated and fast solution. The hubs in Chicago and Atlanta were strategically placed to test and serve two “hot” geographic areas where business growth is expected to outpace the national average: the Midwest and the Southeast.
Telesphere’s nationwide MPLS system provides unified communication services to IP enabled PBX’s from Avaya, Cisco (News - Alert), Asterisk and TDM PBXes and uses Acme Packet SBC’s. Sanjay Srinivasan, Telesphere’s CTO, believes that the company’s most recent move will allow businesses to gain from a fully integrated array of unified communications services including voice, video, fixed mobile convergence, data and other associated features.
It’s anticipated that businesses will be particularly receptive to Telesphere’s SIP trunking due to the potential cost savings and increased employee productivity. Vendor management will become easier, since businesses will no longer need to work with multiple service providers. PSTN gateways will become obsolete.
Businesses like Brasher’s Auto Auctions already swear by the technology, which has been deployed in all of its locations. Brasher’s now enjoys free calling between its seven locations and due to the nature of the setup, would quickly be able to recover should disaster ever strike. In an age when business continuity and disaster preparedness is more important than ever, this unique feature positions Telesphere to lead the way in the managed network space.
