Paltalk Unveils Firetalk Version 1.4, Offers Free Calling for iPhone, iPad and iTouch Devices

Paltalk (News - Alert), a company offering software and technology for real-time, rich media, interactive social networking, has rolled out Firetalk version 1.4, a free VoIP application that allows , iPod touch, and iPad (iOS 4.0 or later )users to make free calls or send free text messages to many locations worldwide.


Firetalk lets users make and receive calls and message other Firetalk users for free. That includes international calls to other Firetalk users. There are no hidden charges for calling the other Firetalk contacts.

The new Firetalk app helps users quickly and easily sign up for Firetalk by simply using their e-mail address thus turning their iPod or iPad into a phone. Users needn’t change their mobile plan, or expect any commitment, hidden costs or contracts while using this service.

"We are very pleased to offer this latest version of Firetalk which can greatly reduce or even eliminate a user's long distance charges," said Jason Katz, CEO of Paltalk. "You can make free worldwide calls to other Firetalk users, there are no contracts to sign, no long term commitments or hidden fees."

In addition, the easy-to-use, free VoIP application, Firetalk complements the Paltalk’s communication, bringing friends and family together from all around the world. In addition, Firetalk allows users to make low cost calls worldwide at prices equal to or lower than Skype (News - Alert) in most cases.

The company officials said that the latest Firetalk app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad iOS 4.0 or later, and will soon introduce Android (News - Alert) version this year.

The Paltalk platform powers the largest collection of video-based communities and has continued to grow since it was launched in 1998. The company currently owns 16 patents that cover core technology related to multiplayer online video games and video conferencing. It supports IM pals on Facebook, Google (News - Alert) Talk, MSN, AOL, Yahoo, and ICQ and is available as a free download.
