Voice, data and TDM provider GLOBALINX has announced the hiring of Patrick Tata, former VP/GM at PAETEC (News - Alert), as its new VP of Sales. Tata was recently named a “Wholesale Provider Leader to Watch in 2012” by an industry publication.

“Pat brings energy, experience and determination to our company, and we are thrilled to have him join our team,” said GLOBALINX CEO, Craig Jerabeck (News - Alert).

The addition of Tata to the GLOBALINX team comes at the same time as the company has announced that it will unveil a new branding initiative at the Channel Partners Conference and Expo in September.

“We decided to re-fresh our brand image to help our customers better understand who GLOBALINX is: a competent, technically and financially strong, vibrant company that builds long-term consultative relationships with its partners,” Jerabeck explained.

Inc. recently named the company to its 500/5000 list as one of the fastest-growing enterprises in the United States. GLOBALINX placed 84th among telecommunications companies and reported triple-digit employee growth over the past year.

Earlier this year, GLOBALINX partnered with Blue Beacon Capital to look for acquisitions opportunities that would expand its telecommunications footprint. In particular, the company hopes to acquire competitors who target SMBs with hosted PBX (News - Alert), SIP trunking, UC and cloud communications.

GLOBALINX provides both residential VoIP and business SIP trunking, which allows companies to continue to use legacy PBXs while leveraging the Internet for better call handling and quality.

The heart of GLOBALINX is its Communication Applications Server, which enables VoIP and multimedia applications for a variety of users. The Broadworks-based platform provides resellers with multiple configurations that they can use to customize solutions for their clients. Products include DID, E-911, termination and residential features.

GLOBALINX solutions are compatible with a variety of equipment vendors including Yealink (News - Alert), ADTRAN, ZyXEL, Polycom, Broadsoft and AudioCodes.
