Cetis Group, a manufacturer of hotel guestroom telephones under three world-class telephone brands including TeleMatrix, Teledex and Scitec, has recently selected DSP Group’s (News - Alert) VoIP XciteR chipset solution to support its next generation of advanced IP telephones.

DSP Group's highly-integrated XciteR VoIP chipset is backed by an ARM926 application processor running Linux OS, together with a powerful DSP processor.

The entire XciteR chipset family enables consumer electronics manufacturers to develop innovative, feature-rich products and this low-cost portfolio allows for the development of state-of-the-art VoIP products and applications for the home and office.

“Our choice of DSP Group's XciteR platform was aided by their market leadership, their cost-effective, highly integrated System On a Chip, and their excellent customer support," said Dr. Bing Sun, CEO of Cetis, in a statement. "Close collaboration with top-tier technology providers like DSP Group enables Cetis to constantly improve Total Cost of Ownership for our customers, while continuing to produce the most reliable, full-featured VoIP phones in the industry," he concluded.

Dedicated to boosting the fast growing mobile, residential and enterprise converged communications sector, DSP Group offers a comprehensive chipset product offering. These solutions allow for the rapid and easy introduction of embedded features in low-to-high-end home offerings such as VoIP phones, home PBXs with DECT (News - Alert) access points, and home gateways.

"We are delighted to have partnered with Cetis Group, a recognized leader in hospitality telephony, to bring cost effective VoIP phones to this market, and speed migration from legacy analog to IP communication," added Fredy Rabih, vice president of VoIP Product Line Management, DSP Group. "This venture is another indication of our commitment to the IP phone market, as we continue to develop next generation technologies that raise the bar in functionality, features and value," he concluded.
