SoTel Systems (News - Alert), a premier provider of business communications equipment, products and services, has successfully completed the acquisition of BSL Telephony Services, a nationwide telecom sales, service and maintenance company, based in Connecticut.

BSL offers best-in-class support services like authorized repair for Aastra (News - Alert), Avaya and Iwatsu, as well as nationwide onsite maintenance that supports almost all telephony platforms. With this acquisition, businesses of both companies will be enhanced and strengthened.

The 30,000-sq.-ft. facility of BSL and its 20 employees will be integrated with SoTel's existing infrastructure.

The integration will also allow SoTel Systems and BSL to support existing clients more fully and deliver the services and product offerings like never before.

In a statement, James Goebel, SoTel Systems president and CEO, said, "BSL adds manufacturer authorized repair services, a nationwide maintenance network with 2 to 4 hour response times, and a very skilled team. The combination will extend SoTel's services offerings. Our customers will better serve their end users across the country no matter if they simply need maintenance on a legacy system or need to install a brand new IP-PBX (News - Alert)."

SoTel will retain the entire BSL staff while planning to invest and expand their new Connecticut-based workforce to provide greater customer service.
