FreedomPop and textPlus Partner to Offer Customers Free Mobile Data, Text and Calling Services

FreedomPop recently announced that it will be partnering with textPlus, a global expert in free mobile communications, to provide customers with access to 100 percent free mobile data, text and calling services which will help them benefit from substantial savings.

In a statement, Scott Lahman, founder and CEO at textPlus, said that, "Our philosophy at textPlus that anyone should have access to free and low-cost mobile communications aligns perfectly with FreedomPop's free mobile data offering. Together, textPlus and FreedomPop are changing the way people communicate worldwide by giving them unparalleled choice and access to free and affordable texting, calling and data services."

Beginning in the first quarter of 2013, the free text and calling services of textPlus will integrate with FreedomPop's free wireless Internet services offering. FreedomPop is the first wireless Internet provider in the country that is completely committed to providing customers with 100 percent FREE 4G mobile broadband Internet access. 

Stephen Stokols, FreedomPop's CEO said that, "Our partnership with textPlus is another large step forward in offering consumers a true, free alternative to expensive mobile voice and data plans. FreedomPop and textPlus represent a new kind of telecom service based on principals established on the web. We are on a clear path to delivering affordable and convenient telecom services to everyone."

FreedomPop will provide users with three tiers of text and voice plans, starting from free, robust plans with a higher limit of $15 per month if the subscriber opts for unlimited texting and 1,000 voice minutes. The plans which will be bundled with FreedomPop's 500 MB of free 4G data will provide consumers substantial savings amounting to thousands of dollars each year compared to current cell phone plans.

FreedomPop specializes in delivering a wide range of wireless Internet devices such as a 4G iPod Sleeve, 4G iPhone 4/4S Sleeve, mi-fi, USB dongle, and home broadband devices – each offering free wireless data access.
