magicJack Wins Frost & Sullivan's Consumers' Choice Award

Frost & Sullivan has honored magicJack VocalTec, Ltd. with the 2013 Frost & Sullivan North American Consumers’ Choice Award. The award honors magicJack as the Overall Best VoIP Service Provider.


The inventor of VoIP, magicJack has sold at least 10 million magicJacks worldwide to date.

magicJack received top honors in all the five categories detailed by Frost & Sullivan. These included general quality, user-friendliness, billing practices, worth and costing. On the seven-point rating scale defined by Frost & Sullivan, magicJack scored an impressive 6.7, 6.6 and 6.3 in the categories of costing, worth and user-friendliness, respectively.

In a statement, Mike Jude, Program Manager, Frost & Sullivan said, “We have been tracking the evolution of Internet-delivered services for some time. magicJack demonstrates that such services are now entering the main stream. The fact that magicJack rated so highly in quality and value indicates that it is definitely providing a service that its customers like…and more importantly, want.”

According to the results of the Consumer Communications Preferences Survey carried out by Frost & Sullivan, magicJack was positioned in fourth place in terms of the number of VoIP customers in the country. The top three positions were taken up by Comcast, AT&T and Time Warner Cable.

According to the survey, services of magicJack were well-appreciated among customers whose earnings were less than $35,000. magicJack’s products were also appreciated by families whose earnings fell in the range of $100,000 to $200,000.
