Certified B Corporations (B Corps) are required to foster general benefit for society and its shareholders, and create a positive impact by meeting rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, putting people ahead of profits – all of which VoIP Supply has met.
Reportedly the first to be certified in Western New York, VoIP Supply has joined the elite ranks of other reputed e-commerce B Corps based in the city, said officials. The fact that seven states have passed Benefit Corporation Legislation does appear to indicate that B Corps status is gaining recognition.
“VoIP Supply’s B Corp Certification is an honor, a roadmap to improve sustainability efforts, and an example to other local businesses on how to become better corporate neighbors,” observed Ben Sayers, CEO at VoIP Supply.
In addition to solving customer problems, growing its business, being successful at work and earning a good living, VoIP supply also has a history of community outreach and intra- office policies. Together these have contributed to the company's achievement.
“It’s a great feeling to know that in addition to being successful at work by solving problems for customers, growing our business, and earning a good living that we’re also helping the community with every successful order we process,” said Ben Sayers, CEO at VoIP Supply.
Sayers believes doing good in the community is as important as financial success, and becoming a certified B Corp is a new way to do business and measure success.
In addition to technology and expertise, VoIP Supply made it to several of the Buffalo Business First newspaper's lists. It was listed as Western New York's Most Admired Companies, a five-time Best Places to Work nominee, and made it on the list of WNY's Top Private Companies for eight consecutive years.
VoIP Supply has been recognized for its continued growth as a three-time Inc.500/5000 honoree and rankings on the Entrepreneur Magazine Hot 100, as well as CRN Fast Growth 100 lists plus three consecutive Business First Fast Track 50 awards.
It also received the TMC Vendor Supplier of the Year award for excellence in delivering VoIP solutions and an Infotech Niagara BETA Star award for entrepreneurism in providing innovative products and services.
It has been doing its part for the community by giving consistent donations and undertaking volunteer efforts. Its office team has been searching for new ways to save energy and reduce waste.
It’s small wonder, then, why Sayers regarded VoIP Supply not as a typical company, but as a great company, doing great things with great people working together.
