RingByName Collaborates with Other Firms to Target Phone Equipment Market for Smaller Businesses

SipTrunkingReport Contributor

RingByName is collaborating with TeleDynamics and Grandstream in an effort to reach out to the lucrative phone equipment market for smaller business.

The product that is the focus of the initiative is Biz in a Box. It is a mobility solution which offers PBX telephone systems and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP).

The three companies will join in the technology and marketing alliance to increase channel reach and let value added resellers, dealers, and telecom agents provide an off-the-shelf, cloud-based VoIP option, according to a company statement.

Biz in a Box also has a customer relationship management (CRM) tool. The tool provides employees information and other data about the caller. Employees can also manage and track calls from their computers.

Another feature is Smart Receptionist, which greets callers by name, identifies employee availability and routes calls. It provides desktop and mobile apps as well.

It is marketed to the $50 billion small business phone equipment market, with a focus on dealers and value added resellers.

Who are the companies involved in the initiative?

RingByName is a Software as a Service (SaaS) developer and unified communications (UC) provider. It has customers in over 115 countries. RingByName offers a phone service aimed at small- to medium-sized businesses, the company said. Grandstream Networks makes IP voice/video telephony hardware for small office VoIP solutions. TeleDynamics is a distributor of telecom products.

“Biz in a Box breaks all the rules on price, features, functionality and ease of use,” Kent Terpe, director of Channels & Alliances at RingByName, said in a statement on Telecom Reseller. “Now small businesses can leverage enterprise-grade unified communications features previously reserved for the largest companies with simplicity and affordability through the cloud.  Biz in a Box delivers the most advanced functionality along with low operating costs without the upfront hardware and installation costs. With RingByName, the customer provides the broadband connection and we provide the rest.”

“Our partnership with RingByName strengthens and expands our small office product portfolio and gives our resellers an avenue to offer their customers a free turn-key VoIP solution that will enhance customer productivity and reduce operating costs,” Brad Gonzalez, director, Management Information Systems at TeleDynamics, added in a statement carried by TMCnet.

“Grandstream is proud to partner with RingByName and TeleDynamics to bring the Biz in a Box solution to market,” Joao Santos, North American sales manager at Grandstream Networks, said in the statement. “This unique solution offers small-to-medium sized businesses a single turn-key package to address all telephony needs while also building in CRM functionality to create a very comprehensive communications package. Biz in a Box makes the tremendous cost-savings and advanced telephony features of VoIP even more accessible and easy-to-manage for all small businesses.”

RingByName, Grandstream and TeleDynamics will present webinars explaining the Biz in a Box product. Currently, the suite is being shown at ITEXPO Miami 2013. To find out more about Grandstream, visit Booths 809 and D234 this week at ITEXPO Miami 2013.
