ShoreTel’s (News - Alert) newest IP phone is available now, along with an added bonus for administrators. Not only is the ShoreTel IP 930D DECT (News - Alert) phone available, but the ShoreTel Director is providing improved diagnostics and monitoring capabilities.

The ShoreTel IP 930D is a cordless phone designed to provide full telephony features while still allowing for in-building roaming. It provides everything that ShoreTel IP desk phones are known for, such as enterprise directory access, multiple lines, and more, providing ease of use for end users in a convenient, cordless package.

"ShoreTel gives resellers and customers an extensive choice of end points to meet their needs," explains Phillip Pexton, a research analyst for Canalys. "This includes desk phones, and PC and mobile clients, providing a consistent user experience independent of location. The addition of DECT phones adds to its portfolio, especially in key verticals like healthcare, retail and manufacturing that require onsite mobility without cellular connectivity."

Furthermore, ShoreTel’s web-based system management application, ShoreTel Director, has new diagnostic monitoring capabilities. With them, administrators can better identify and resolve network issues, keeping performances up at maximum quality across the entire organization. It offers intuitive diagnostics and monitoring, giving clear visibility across the system with important information collected in a convenient format. The performance reports can be generated and accessed from any PC, Mac, or iPad.
