SoliCall (News - Alert), an Israel-based company specializing in software for noise reduction, echo cancellation and audio quality improvement, announced on a novel technology for noise control in telephony – a personalized noise reduction software technology that will give a boost to the way noise is identified and attenuated during phone calls.
This technology uses registered voice print of the speaker in order to separate between the ambient sounds and the speaker’s voice. The personalized noise reduction software does not require any change in the hardware and can be executed on any hardware platform.
The major difference between the personalized noise reduction approach and the existing noise reduction solutions is in the way noise is identified. Existing solutions identify noise by mainly focusing on physical parameters like distance from the microphone and relative location from multiple microphones.
“Our technology is flexible enough to be consumed by both operators and manufacturers. In addition, our technology is capable of working combined with existing noise reduction solutions,” said Moses Benjamin, director of Marketing for SoliCall, in a statement.
Personalized noise reduction identifies noise as any sound that is not originated from the vocal tract of the registered speaker, regardless of the physical locations of the speaker and source of the noise. When an important business call is made from home, the personalized solution will identify noises, such as shouting of kids, as literal noise and not a legitimate part of the call, which is then filtered.
In other news, InterMedia Marketing Solutions is set to implement the SoliCall PBXMate across its call center.
