IP Telecom is leveraging TelcoBridges (News - Alert) Tmedia gateways to expand its business in El Salvador. The service provider, which is headquartered in Miramar, Fla., provides telecommunications services between the United States and Latin America.
Dannie Baquero, president of IP Telecom, noted the Tmedia gateways provide an array of functionality in a single box “so we won’t have to invest in expensive call routing systems or additional hardware as we scale our business and roll out new services to customers.”
Representatives of TelcoBridges met IP Telecom at an industry trade show in Miami with its reseller partner Pulse (News - Alert), a value-added reseller.
IP Telecom, which has a VoIP network with direct interconnections to all major voice and data carriers around the world, provides broadband Internet access, VoIP services, VPNs, and other solutions for call centers, Internet cafes, small and medium businesses, and other competitive local exchange carriers.
In other recent news from TelcoBridges and Pulse, the companies won a Tmedia deal with LANCK Telecom of Russia.
“We supplied LANCK with TelcoBridges’ TMG-3200 STM-1 VoIP gateway for an initial deployment at the core of their network, and LANCK is now adopting the products for its international POPs,” Michael Banschbach, vice president of Pulse Supply, said in March.
TelcoBridges this spring also announced an effort to expand operations in South America via a partnership with Metricom, a leading Colombian telecom reseller.
“Earlier this year, TelcoBridges announced new deployments in Russia, Eastern Europe and the Middle East, and today we’re pleased to announce our expansion into South America through our partnership with Metricom,” said Gaetan Campeau (News - Alert), CEO of TelcoBridges. “Our gateways provide enormous flexibility when it comes to converting legacy protocols to VoIP, and they also deliver the reliability that large carriers depend upon.”
