PortaOne (News - Alert), a provider of VoIP billing and subscriber management platforms, has formed a partnership with Acrobits, which develops mobile session initiation protocol (SIP) clients for the iPhone (News - Alert) and Android, in order to help operators deliver inexpensive smartphone apps to customers.
The partnership assures interoperability of PortaSwitch, the VoIP billing platform from PortaOne, with Acrobits' VoIP softphone apps for both the iOS and Android operating systems. It benefits customers of PortaOne as they can offer inexpensive white-label smartphone app via the iOS App Store and Google Play, with settings and features set specifically for their service, in less than one day.
The Cloud Softphone client from Acrobits is designed for VoIP providers and PBX (News - Alert) administrators. The advantage of this solution is that it can be quickly private branded. It features push notification so that users can receive calls when the app is closed.
Acrobits softphone features Web service-based callback for maximum battery efficiency. It also includes instant messaging, HD sound, a balance checker, customizable ringtones and Bluetooth support. Acrobits' iOS/Android softphone apps offer one-touch provisioning with design QR codes to simplify customer management.
"In just a few months' time, Acrobits has set a new standard for VoIP and UC Clients with its Cloud Softphone apps," said Andriy Zhylenko (News - Alert), chief technical officer for PortaOne, in a statement. “These apps can be a major competitive advantage to PortaSwitch telecoms.”
Acrobits has been recently recognized with TMC (News - Alert) Labs Innovation Award.
Jiri Kral, Acrobits chief executive officer, says the interoperability between the Cloud Softphone apps and PortaSwich helps providers assure their customers of the best possible call quality, along with unparalleled convenience and value.
"This can be a significant point of difference for PortaSwitch-based telecoms and a great marketing tool," Kral added.
