Huawei (News - Alert) Enterprise recently inked a partnership deal with Telematics, a move that emphasizes Huawei’s dedication to unified communications (UC) in Middle East region.
By adding the UAE-based Systems Integrator, ICT engineering and project management company to its list of worldwide partners, Huawei aligns itself with recent market analysis from Frost & Sullivan (News - Alert), which says the UC market in UAE is poised for tremendous growth by 2014.
"Huawei's channel partner program plays a vital role in our overall Middle East business strategy where Qatar and the UAE are some of our fastest-growing markets," said Dong Wu, vice president of Huawei Enterprise Middle East in a statement.
"Telematic, part of the BMTC group, brings valuable insights into key vertical industries such as finance, hospitality and government. Together we look forward to bringing the latest in Unified Communications (News - Alert) technologies to customers throughout the region," added Wu.
UC in the Middle East is on a fast track thanks to increased collaboration, as well as a deployment of cloud and remote access technologies.
UC refers to the ability to integrate different types of communications -- including voice mail, e-mail, IP fax, instant messages, and video conferencing -- into one common interface. Essentially, it simplifies all the great communication tools and puts them in one, easy to access place. It can greatly increase productivity, especially in companies that rely on daily or more frequent communications with customers, partners, and vendors.
This partnership will bring UC to larger enterprises in the UAE, in addition to government, transportation, aviation, hospitality, and education sectors.
Worldwide, companies are looking at ways to decrease costs, improve efficiency and increase productivity. With the integration of real time communication and business processes, companies can actually achieve these targets. Unified communications provides flexibility, supports mobility, increases productivity and improves employee response time as well. With the benefits associated with unified communications, the increasing mobile workforce and enterprise mobility will have a high impact on the growth of the overall UC market.
Telematics is listed a silver channel partner for its UAE customer base.
"We chose to partner with Huawei Enterprise because of the company's wide range of products, history in the telecom business and its interactive channel team. We look forward to developing this relationship in years to come,” said Rajiv Dutta, general manager for Telematics.
