New Synergy Research Group Report Confirms Vocalocity's Status in VoIP Service

By Contributing SIP Trunking Report Writer

There are a great many providers of VoIP service out there today. With services geared toward large enterprises, small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and even individuals, it's hard to tell just which provider is the best for each user's needs. But one thing has become clear, according to a new report from Synergy Research Group: Vocalocity is still one of the biggest names in VoIP phone service, and well beyond.

The Synergy Research Group report in question, titled “Cloud UC Services Market Share Report,” ran down some of the high points in VoIP and the Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) market, with the high point of the report being two-fold: one, the broader UCaaS market grew fully 22 percent in a year-over-year comparison between the second quarter of 2013 and its cohort in 2012; and two, that Vocalocity gained 45 percent revenue growth in that same period, outpacing the market itself by better than two to one.

Essentially, according to the study, Vocalocity's market share is only outpaced by those held by Shoretel and 8x8. However, given the spectacular gains seen in recent months by Vocalocity, it's a safe bet that Vocalocity will be threatening to break into the top two before too much longer has passed. Further cementing Vocalocity's status as a company to watch is its recent naming to the Inc. 500 | 5000 list, which is a listing of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States. Plus, not long after that, Vocalocity also netted a 2013 Internet Telephony Excellence Award, which is offered to companies that show innovation in providing solutions that improve business for clients.

So what's driving this incredible growth? While Vocalocity's direct sales channels have done extremely well, Vocalocity's channel partner program is also a huge help in the overall structure of things. For instance, the channel partner program offers a campaign syndication tool that gives resellers options in terms of collateral and promotions so that the individual resellers get some choices in what can be offered. Additionally, there's an affiliate linking program for preferred partners that includes banner ads and lead capturing tools, as well as a whole set of new tools geared toward customer account registration and further support in lead tracking.

Those interested in getting a better look at Vocalocity's product line, channel partner program and similar initiatives, meanwhile, can do so out at the ITEXPO event, running through today at the Mandalay Bay Casino and Resort in Las Vegas, Nev. Vocalocity can be found at booth 719, and those who can't make the trip can check out Vocalocity's website for more details.

Even in a shaky economy, the kind we're all currently operating in, there's still room for growth—even spectacular growth—if the right value proposition can be put out. After all, a company that's selling an item for $20 that will save someone $30 in the first year may as well be giving away free $10 bills, and it's hard to pass up an offer like that. Vocalocity is clearly offering an impressive product at a great value, and that's giving a lot of buyers the necessary impetus to value Vocalocity's product over holding cash, resulting in increased sales and market share. Vocalocity has a great formula to work with, and hopefully will be able to increase its value to customers by following the path laid out before it.
