Once, companies that offered communications solutions could focus on serving customers in their domestic market, and leave it up to providers in other countries to do the same. No longer. That’s exactly what Broadcore and HIPCOM are doing by forming a partnership that involves offering business communications services in the U.S. and in England. The deal is intended to better serve businesses with operations and/or clients on both sides of the ocean.

 

More specifically, Broadcore (News - Alert) and HIPCOM are offering a hosted PBX solution the reduces the cost and complexity of making international phone calls. Many businesses, the two companies said, find it necessary to be in frequent voice touch with customers or branch offices in foreign markets, but find that the expense of making international calls with a traditional phone system is a considerable burden.

 

The hosted PBX (News - Alert) solution being offered as an alternative allows businesses to connect international calls by dialing a local number. Clients can do the same. The result is a local presence for the business, even overseas, and better customer experiences.

 

For branch offices, the system offers the benefit of extension-to-extension dialing across the Atlantic. This saves both time and money.

 

The partnership makes sense given the complementary nature of the two companies’ offerings. U.S.-based Broadcore is a hosted VoIP/PBX provider that offers phones system services, voice and data T1 lines, SIP trunking, local and long-distance calling, conferencing, virtual office tools, and broadband Internet.

 

HIPCOM, based in the U.K., sells hosted IP telephony solutions through a network of channel partners. It also partners with VoIP vendors around the world to provide feature-rich phone services.
