Acme Packet, a company providing session border control solutions, today revealed it will be announcing its financial results for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2008 on Thursday, February 5, 2009 after the market closes.

The company’s management team will hold a live conference call and webcast at 5:00 p.m. EST on Thursday to talk about the financial results and share their market predictions for 2009.

To access the conference call on Thursday, listeners from the U.S. should dial (800) 230-1096 and use access code “APKT”.  Those who live outside the U.S. can access the teleconference by dialing (612) 332-0226 and using access code “APKT”.

In addition, the conference call will be simultaneously webcast on the company’s investor relations Web site, www.ir.acmepacket.com.  If unable to join in the call, a replay will be made available approximately two hours after the call by dialing (800) 475-6701 and using access code 979267. Interested parties can also access the webcast replay on the company’s investor relations Web site.

Acme Packet (News - Alert) has been leading the way with its session border control solutions. The company enables the delivery of secure, first-class interactive communications, including voice, video and multimedia sessions, as well as data services across IP network borders.

The company’s Net-Net family of session border controllers, multiservice security gateways and session routing proxies are the driving force for multiple applications in service provider, large enterprise and contact center networks-- from VoIP trunking to hosted enterprise and residential services to fixed-mobile convergence.

They meet critical security, service assurance and regulatory requirements in wireline, cable and wireless networks. They also support multiple protocols-- SIP, H.323, MGCP/NCS and H.248-- and multiple border points-- interconnect, access and data center.

Last week, Acme Packet announced that Miami-based Internet telephony service provider InPhonex had selected the Net-Net 9200 session border controller (SBC) to expand its Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service offerings.

InPhonex (News - Alert) currently serves approximately 200,000 direct VoIP subscribers. The company plans to exceed one million subscribers by the end of calendar year 2009. To support its recent and future growth, the company chose Acme Packet’s Net-Net 9200 platform.

Acme Packet products have been chosen by more than 580 customers in 85 countries, including 29 of the top 30, and 84 of the top 100 service providers in the world.
