Telesphere Achieves Certification for Microsoft Response Point


Telesphere, a nationwide business phone and Internet services provider, announced that it has achieved certification for Microsoft (News - Alert) Response Point, an advanced premises-based IP phone system designed especially for small businesses with one to 50 employees.

 
The company has become one of the eight companies listed by Microsoft as a Certified Service Provider for Response Point. Through a process called session initiation protocol (SIP) trunking, Telesphere said that it’s able to integrate with Microsoft's phone system and overlay its own feature set.
 
The integration of Response Point and Telesphere’s services enables small businesses to communicate “effectively” by using features such as simultaneous ring, Telesphere Anywhere, Web click-to-dial, and voicemail to email, according to company officials.
 
Moreover, officials said that small businesses can scale their communications services as they grow, using Telesphere's hosted model with their Response Point private branch exchange (PBX (News - Alert)).
 
Sanjay Srinivasan, CTO at Telesphere, said that through the Microsoft Response Point PBX phone system, the company is able to give small businesses the advanced features and functionality that most large companies enjoy, and at a fraction of the price.
 
“The combination of Microsoft's hardware and Telesphere's SIP trunking service will allow small business owners to supercharge their telecommunications to new heights,” said Clark Peterson, CEO at Telesphere.
 
“We will roll out this new offering to our partners and resellers throughout the country,” added Peterson.
 
He said that by adding this offering to their portfolio of services, they can reach a whole new set of customers, which is a “win-win” for Telesphere and partners alike.
 
Telesphere delivers a package of IP telephone service and internet access to businesses throughout the United States.
 
Earlier this week, Telesphere announced a new Hosted Call Recording service to its Telesphere Anywhere customers. The offering gives Telesphere customers the ability to digitally record and store calls in a standard M3U/MP3 format.
