The ongoing relationship, understanding and trust between WaveCrest and DIGITALK meant a complex migration was delivered smoothly, ahead of time, and with no impact on service availability,” said Rhys Williams, group chief technology officer and head of strategic development.
As stated, this migration to the NGN solution is aimed at bringing immediate operational expenditure savings from lower co-location costs resulting in 80 percent reduced rack space, and considerable power consumption savings. This, according to the company, is possible with the increased availability, enhanced services such as Web Calling Card for WaveCrest’s prepaid calling card customers, and a future-proof solution for expanding new services on the DIGITALK Multiservice Platform.
“Naturally we are delighted that WaveCrest have chosen to migrate and enhance their services using DIGITALK’s NGN solution. The DIGITALK SIP Media Application Server continues to provide operators with a solid foundation for delivering existing and exciting new revenue generation streams,” said Mark Ashdown (
