Camiant, Inc. (News - Alert), a provider of policy control and application assurance technology, reported a company increase in demand for its pure-play policy control solution, particularly outside of North America, adding six new international broadband operator customers across Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific since June 2009.
Camiant’s international customers now account for more than half its total deployments.
According to company officials said that to support Camiant’s international growth, the company announced it is expanding its market presence in both Europe and Asia Pacific with the opening of additional offices in Madrid, Spain, and Nanjing, China.
The company also appointed Paul Hancock, Managing Director for EMEA Operations.
Camiant officials said that it includes-selection by a major global mobile telecoms group across its worldwide footprint for mobile data services including roaming and congestion control, with deployments underway in several countries.
Additionally, deployment by a European mobile operator to dynamically manage broadband services based on user consumption levels including EU roaming data usage, as well as to deliver several new service offerings is another industry group.
The company’s policy control platform, fully compliant with 3GPP's policy and charging rules function, or “PCRF,” specifications, has proven to be an essential component of the broadband network, providing vital real-time intelligence and management of network resources, while creating an infrastructure for new revenue opportunities.
“This is a very exciting time to be joining Camiant as the company continues to win global customers with its best of breed policy control solution,” Paul Hancock, managing director for EMEA, said.
Hancock said that he is looking forward to providing exceptional localized and personalized support in the region to broadband operators as the company continues to grow its global footprint.
“Camiant is the only policy control system built from the ground up to support both mobile and fixed broadband deployments. We continue to be selected by both mobile and fixed broadband customers because of our leadership in control plane technology and the tremendous value proposition we offer,” Ed Delaney (News - Alert), president and CEO of Camiant, said.
Delaney said that the company is delighted to be in a position to extend its global reach and be closer to the existing and expanding customer base.
“We continue to provide new and innovative ways to intelligently manage network resources for the world’s most demanding Service Providers broadband networks,” Deland added.
