The Trelleborg Sealing Solutions develops, manufactures and supplies precision seals and bearings. It supports its aerospace, industrial and automotive customers through more than 20 production facilities and over 40 marketing companies globally.
According to a press release, Trelleborg Sealing Solutions had a decentralized structure. It was in search of a single provider that could not only supply employees with mobile handsets, but also the wireless network that could support the company’s team throughout the region. In this regard, the company signed a streamlined contract with AT&T.
Under the partnership, AT&T will supply mobile devices from its comprehensive portfolio of smart phones and handsets, which will facilitate in connecting all Trelleborg employees in the Americas on the same network.
AT&T will also offer Trelleborg Sealing Solutions Americas its GSM wireless network and most of the AT&T’s wireless phones work in most countries. Additionally, Trelleborg’s employees will also have access to more than 125,000 worldwide Wi-Fi hot spots in 79 countries, thereby giving faster speeds for quick data exchange and collaboration.
Ultimately, Trelleborg could standardize itself on AT&T’s solutions for a centralized employee wireless program. In addition, this standardization also helped in the consolidation and improvement of management and billing efficiencies.
“We foresee that this streamlined contract with AT&T will help us accomplish this with even greater velocity,” Robert White, vice president finance, Trelleborg Sealing Solutions Americas, said in a statement.
Recently, AT&T
revealed that an independent market research firm indicated that the company was the leading choice among U.S. providers and twice as many smartphone users have chosen AT&T over any other U.S. carrier.
David Christopher, chief marketing officer, AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets, said in a statement that the company has taken integrated devices mainstream. In addition, the company’s 3G and Wi-Fi networks make mobile data accessible to everyone—from road warriors with advanced smart phones to texting teens with quick messaging phones.
