Aculab Signs Global Channel Partners for ApplianX Products

Aculab, a provider of enabling technologies for the communications market, has expanded its distribution channel for its ApplianX brand of gateway products by adding resellers in Europe, North America and India.


The partners are Nixxis, based in Brussels; Nimans, Ltd., located in Manchester, England; TSG Global of Longwood, Florida, USA; and Cohesive Technologies, Ltd. in India. Each of these distributors is fully certified to sell and support the ApplianX IP Gateway.

Aculab’s (News - Alert) technology provides the essential components required to deliver multimodal voice, data, fax and video solutions for use within IP, PSTN and mobile networks .

“We are delighted that these experienced, highly reputable technology partners are joining us to market and support the ApplianX product portfolio,” stated Tim Joint, Aculab’s Commercial Manager for the ApplianX family of products.

“Each of these organizations offers solid credentials in understanding and addressing the complex needs of customers looking to leverage the distinct advantages of advanced communications technologies. We look forward to working with them in further expanding the ApplianX footprint in strategic markets like the US, UK, Europe, and Southern Asia,” Joint said.

The ApplianX IP Gateway (News - Alert) involves low administrative costs and supports a range of international protocols, making the device suitable for worldwide deployment in both enterprise and service provider networks, including Avaya (News - Alert), Cisco, Aastra and BT have certified ApplianX to allow integration with legacy TDM-based PBXs.

ApplianX IP Gateway’s new version includes features, such as support for Diversion, Transfer, Message Waiting Indicator, and Route Optimization SIP, Q.SIG and DPNSS protocols. This allows gateway to deliver these capabilities to both SMB and enterprise customers.

The solution includes a range of routing options for both SIP-to-TDM and SIP-to-SIP conversions, as well as improved load balancing between endpoints on a round-robin basis, for calls to be automatically routed away from unresponsive endpoints. Reliability features have also been upgraded.
