sipgate (News - Alert), a VoIP solution provider, has announced a new team edition of their U.K. telephone service to provide businesses with entirely web-based service.
According to company officials, this allows small and medium-size companies to now move their corporate phone service to the cloud.
Thilo Salmon, CEO at sipgate said, "Our aim is to make a telephone service that's as easy to use as e-mail. If you can use email, you know enough to run your company's corporate telephone system. We think this service will resonate particularly well with entrepreneurial companies and firms that have already realized the benefits from other web-based services like hosted CRM or e-mail."
A variety of features will help companies to be more productive, collaborative and efficient. In addition the offering is quick to set-up, manage and use and its interface is similar to that of Web-based e-mail.
Each employee will have online access to their inbox with sipgate team. Phone (News - Alert) logs, faxes, recordings and voicemail messages will be contained in the inbox.
Through a WYSIWYG interface, they can also sign and send faxes on the company letterhead and a single mouse-click can activate most of the features like call forwarding, call recording, and 3-way calling.
In addition, company officials said they have enhanced the Web-fax feature, making it possible for faxes to be sent and received online.
