Comverse's Annual Innovation Award Features Popular Telecom Operators


Comverse announced the finalists for the Fifth Annual Innovation Award program for telecom operators.

In association with industry research firm Yankee Group (News - Alert), the awards are organized to recognize service providers who implemented Comverse solutions for business success.


Nominations list for this year focuses on ability to address new markets; offer a broader set of services; improve efficiency and effectiveness; reduce expenses; enhance the customer experience, and advance market penetration and revenues.

Among the finalists is Bell Mobility with their new high-speed network in Canada deploying advanced services, including Comverse (News - Alert) HUB Visual Voicemail, Multimedia Messaging Service Centre (MMSC), and Mobile Internet HUB.

Celcom of Malaysia for enhancing customer post-paid experience by using Comverse's billing capabilities, resulting in fewer customer complaints, and providing instant reactivation.

Colt Group made it to the list for their 13 legacy billing systems with one Comverse BSS platform that supports billing and rating for multiple currencies, languages, and taxation issues in Europe.

Guangdong Mobile for bundling several Comverse Call Completion services locally branded as Communication Assistant, to expand the service in China.

Maxis of Malaysia secured a position as well for using the Maxis Comverse BSS solution, via system convergence for services such as fixed, mobile, leased circuits, VSAT, and broadband and for delivering integrated communications solutions to customers on their mobile, broadband devices and at home.

Rogers Communications (News - Alert) successfully launched personalized and branded Extreme Text Messaging in Canada, with SMS Auto-Reply, Personal Signature and more on Comverse's SMS Personal Services.

Telenet of Belgium used Comverse ONE Billing and Active Customer Management for advanced real-time rating and charging to offer a broad set of new multi-play services with customized promotional campaigns.

Lastly Vodafone (News - Alert) Italy feature on the list for using the Comverse mega-capacity Short Message Service Centre (SMSC) solution to serve other Vodafone affiliates and mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs).

Dror Bin, president of Global Sales at Comverse said that Comverse solutions can help operators embrace fresh perspectives to deliver greater value to our customers and their subscribers through a host of capabilities.
