Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare Uses Mimecast to Improve Email Access, Storage and Security


Mimecast, a leading supplier of cloud-based email security, continuity and archiving, has been chosen by Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, a seven-hospital system based in Memphis, Tenn., for its cloud-based email solutions to improve the storage, archiving and discovery, security and bandwidth of the latter’s email system.


In a press release, Matt Green, director of Micro Applications at Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, said, “Not only did Mimecast offer an easy way to compliment our move to Microsoft (News - Alert) Exchange with new and needed functionality, they were willing to partner with us and agree to our encryption and security requests. Mimecast’s confidence in its solution and in its ability to deliver for us was easy to see and gave us all the assurance we needed to move our email to the cloud. With Mimecast, we’ll be able to ensure that employees have all the information they need at their fingertips.”

Methodist selected Mimecast’scloud-based email solutions as the company began the transition to Microsoft Exchange for a strong, secure email management solution. Healthcare organizations like Methodist require to strictly guarding the privacy of patient data in order to comply with HIPAA and numerous other regulations. With Mimecast, the health network could rest easy knowing that its data was secure and its IT staff could use the new software to easily show compliance as needed.

Mimecast was in news recently when it announced the results of a partnership that automated the Pump Solutions Group's (PSG) email archiving and compliance and enhanced the company's anti-virus, anti-spam and business continuity practices.
