Metadigm Picks Interxion to Host Its Network and End Point Security Solutions

Interxion (News - Alert) Holding, a provider of carrier-neutral colocation data center services in Europe, announced that Metadigm, a network and end point security provider, has opted to deploy its hosted security service in Interxion’s Cloud Hub Community at its City of London data center.

Metadigm offers managed security solutions and private cloud offerings for customers. Its main offerings include firewalls, UTMs, application control, data loss protection, Web content filtering through to end-point security and mobility security.

“When it came to deciding on whom to partner with, the choice was very straightforward. Interxion were able to offer the necessary space, power density and flexibility needed to grow our business,” said Jason Simper, director at Metadigm, in a statement.

“The fact that we are one of the only companies offering managed security services at Interxion and that we could tap into its customer base of over 1000 was also a major draw for us,” Simper added.

Metadigm has presence in many countries. It supports IT security infrastructures in more than 54 countries for hundreds of clients ranging from local SME’s to FTSE 100 enterprises. It works with clients in sectors including finance, retail, legal, local government, pharmaceuticals and education.

“This announcement further reflects our commitment to providing a world-class infrastructure for organizations such as Metadigm that are looking to develop successful cloud-based services,” said Greg McCulloch, managing director at Interxion. “It is also good that through this relationship we are able to offer our customers a greater choice of security partners.”

Recently, Interxion announced an enhanced version of Secure Data Services (SDS). The new Interxion Secure Data Services is a cost-effective, cloud-based backup solution that enables organizations to instantly back up, manage and recover their mission-critical data using an Interxion data center vault. It is suited for multi-site and mobile data backup.
