The service targets the business-to-employee (B2E) segment. Earlier, VASCO launched its hosted authentication services for the B2B segment.
DIGIPASS as a Service is a cloud-based authentication offering for cloud computing and Web-based applications. It gives enterprises a strong user authentication that helps them protect business-critical information.
“DIGIPASS as a Service is an efficient and very flexible solution allowing application providers to focus on their core business while at the same time boosting customers' confidence in their services thanks to enhanced security,” said Jan Valcke, president and COO of VASCO Data Security, in a statement. “This is yet another important step for VASCO and will further expand the reach of our service offering.”
By managing the full authentication process on the back-end, VASCO enable application providers to focus on its core business, company officials said.
DIGIPASS as a Service is now available for test drive and deployment on the AppExchange. VASCO will demo the solution at Dreamforce 2011 in San Francisco from Aug. 30 –Sept. 2, the company said.
The Salesforce CRM apps are powered by Force.com. Enterprise apps built on the Force.com platform can be easily distributed and marketed through the salesforce.com, the social enterprise platform that deliver comprehensive cloud technologies for social, mobile and open apps.
Recently VASCO announced it has extended its Competitive Migration Campaign. With the initiative, VASCO encourages companies and institutions which have a third-party authentication solution in place, to shift to VASCO's DIGIPASS authentication technologies.
