Coming soon! DICE has announced that it will soon release a patch to Battlefield 3's voice over IP (VoIP) for the PlayStation 3 version, though no official date has been set for its release yet. This is good news for Battlefield 3 users who enjoy playing this realistic cutting-edge combat and shooter game with other players on the same battlefield.
Without this patch, no voice communication or chat-system is available for players other than VoIP on Battlelog for general game play. Battlefield 3 players were baffled when they realized this all important feature was bugged while in previous game versions it worked just fine. No voice support has led frustrated Battlefield 3 gamers to complain loudly to DICE about their inability to communicate within the game. This bug, in fact, takes away the ability to play in an all-out-war among friends online and enjoy a multiplayer experience as a team in a squad to eliminate enemy combatants, attack/defend M-COM stations and achieve objectives in other game modes.
Unfortunately, gamers have to wait for a VoIP solution, a patch for the PS3, from DICE. The wait is a concern for players as is the lack of communication, but it has not stopped them from playing this multi-player action combat game. Thankfully, a fix is on its way. Battlefield 3 players can expect the VoIP patch for PS3 to be provided soon.
Until the release of the VoIP patch for PS3, players that want to use VoIP will continue to have communication issues until DICE makes the patch a part of the game installation. Soon, Battlefield 3 players will experience improvements with in-game chat and voice features. This is exactly what gamers want and expect: voice communication. Players can keep posted on the release date on the Battlelog forum; however, rumors suggest the VoIP patch may be released in Februrary.
