Array Networks Announces Availability of AG 1000 Series Secure Access Gateways

Array Networks (News - Alert) unveiled the new AG 1000 Series secure access gateways based on its 64-bit SpeedCore architecture and these gateways are designed to help enterprises mid-market businesses and cloud service providers cater to the increasing mobile workforce demands.

The Array SpeedCore is a software-based delivery networking (ADN) platform engineered to secure, accelerate and control high-volume data traffic driven by explosive growth in the areas of mobility, virtualization and cloud computing. Four new appliances that leverage this platform are part of the AG series and they are purported to offer unmatched performance, scalability, flexibility and value as compared to competing solutions.

The AG series gateways enable users to have desktop access from their iOS devices and the appliances ensure that the data transferred during such access never mixes with the mobile devices’ data. These gateways can also help organizations seamlessly deploy a bring-your-own-device (BYOD) strategy.

The new 1RU AG1100 support up to 2,400 concurrent users whereas the AG1200 can support 24, 000. With the 2RU AG1500 and AG1600, companies can support up to 72,000 and 128,000 concurrent users respectively. The AG series secure access gateways also support 3.2Gbps SSL throughput, high-performance 2048-bit encryption and a per-user policy engine to enable productivity-enhancing experience for every mobile and remote user.

“We are extremely pleased to announce Array’s new AG Series Secure Access Gateways. The new AG Series is a rapidly-deployable, cost-effective solution for secure access across a full range of devices and access methods that delivers the highest levels of performance and scalability. Strengthened by new capabilities in cloud and mobile computing, this new product line allows businesses to ensure security and compliance while giving employees the freedom to be productive wherever and whenever works best,” said Michael Zhao, president and CEO of Array Networks, in a press release.
