American Express, in partnership with Transaction Network Services (News - Alert), has created a single-source mechanism for merchants who want the ability to collect payments online. The solution, called Amex Payment Gateway (News - Alert), supports all major credit card brands and payment types, providing fraud and data security protocols (PSI DSS) for all Gateway transactions.
“Through our relationship with merchants, we know they are looking for a more reliable, global and standalone e-commerce payment solution,” said Suzan Kereere, senior vice president and general manager for the global network business at American Express. “We are delighted to work with TNS (News - Alert) to address this need.”
Amex plans to launch the solution in the U.S., Mexico, the U.K. and Australia. Payment Gateway can currently accept more than 120 global currencies.
Gateway will deliver hosted solutions, standard or custom implementation and in-country solutions. Gateway will also deliver value-added services like Accertify’s fraud management solution, cardholder authentication capabilities and TNS’s tokenization solution. If merchants have questions, then they will have access to multilingual representatives 24x7, 365 days per year.
“Our agreement with American Express demonstrates our commitment to supporting merchant-based solutions,” said Mike Keegan TNS’ President and Chief Operating Officer. “The combination of our reliable, global card-not-present payments solution, Accertify’s advanced fraud capabilities and American Express’s (News - Alert) high-quality service, creates a solution that stands out in the marketplace and will benefit merchants of all types.”
Businesses can quickly and easily enact Gateway to manage their e-commerce and other card-not-present transactions. For every transaction, businesses can count on Amex for card security and fraud prevention. The solution will benefit multiple industries including retail, banking, telecommunications, payment processing and financial markets.
“The combination of our reliable, global card-not-present payments solution, Accertify’s advanced fraud capabilities and American Express’ high-quality service, creates a solution that stands out in the marketplace and will benefit merchants of all types,” Kereere added.
