eGestalt: Bringing Security and Compliance to the SMB

By SIP Trunking Report Contributing Editor

Organizations that set out to operate online and drive eCommerce interactions for revenue gain and profits are tasked with the protection of customer information. Same goes for those who operate in healthcare.

eGestalt Technologies is one of the providers in the risk management, IT governance and compliance solutions space, offering SaaS-based security for SMBs and smaller enterprises.

The company’s HIPAA/HITECH and PCI compliance solution, SecureGRC, is a SaaS-based product designed to simplify the afford that ensures not only low cost of operation, but the peace of mind necessary to know business transactions and information exchanges are secure.

Such an application lends considerable value in the healthcare environment as well, enabling providers to adhere to HIPAA regulations.

As a compliance solution, SecureGRC has already been widely adopted by channel partners throughout the global marketplace who offer compliance and security services. The addition of the SecureGRC ensures these partners can gain the necessary entry into lucrative markets, including healthcare IT.

As this is one of the more rapidly growing segments within MSP business, eGestalt is helping to drive market gains.

"eGestalt partners are making tremendous gains by reaching out to medical offices and their Business Associates who must both comply with HIPAA/HITECH and PCI regulations,” said Anupam Sahai, president of eGestalt. “These BAs are desperate for a simple, low-cost cloud solution like SecureGRC, and partners can add bundled services to the deal for additional profit-making opportunities."

The channel strategy implemented by eGestalt includes the Managed Compliance Providers (MCP) certification. This channel program was developed on the foundation of a proprietary “cookbook” that includes an introduction and proper training tools for those just starting the process of delivering managed compliance services.

For the eCommerce side, an automated PCI-DSS compliance management solution is also available in SecureGRC, allowing companies to build and maintain a secure network and protect card holder data.

“We focus our solutions to be delivered to SMBs,” Sahai recently told TMC. “The way we are unique is that we have a new approach to security monitoring, and we leverage cloud intelligence by looking at the security and compliance data across companies.”

Joining Erik Linask in San Jose for the TMC Roadshow, Sahai shared his insight on the company and the traction they are gaining in the market. To learn more, see their video interview above.
