HID Global has been a provider of secure identity technology since 1991 when it was formed. It offers professional services, products, platforms and suites, meant to solve any personal or business need for identification and authentication, and to control network access for customers.
A few of the items HID Global offers are high quality badges, RFID (radio-frequency identification) embedded transponders and tags which will emit radio signals to a receiver. Each of these products provides track-and-trace capabilities; they are able to identify someone or something and authenticate the holder.
Recently, the company introduced a new suite of Web-based services that will be able to combine multiple technology platforms onto one card, offer IP access control solutions for traditional badges, access control tokens and support digital credentials on NFC (Near Field Communication) mobile devices.
As mentioned by the HID Global Media Center, in a September press release, the Web-based services, which provide secure identity services and supports physical access control credentials, are designed to help customers address over-the-air provisioning with ease and simplicity.
HID Global’s Web-based services, which includes contactless smart cards (the iCLASS SE cards – based on HID’s Trusted Identity Platform architecture), offers a service, first on selected NFC-enabled BlackBerry (News

It appears that HID Global has a major role in wireless identification. Using the all-in-one Web-based solution for credential provisioning and management, the company has had positive results. Feedback from customers about the secure identity services from the wireless NFC smartphone has made it practical to access controlled areas.
Presently, HID Global has plans to expand their mobile services to support a broad range of credentials and NFC smartphone platforms across all major network operators.
HID Global has become a trusted industry expert in secure identity solutions. From non-technical cards to chip-based smart cards with contactless and RFID technologies, HID Global distributes innovative ways, with both physical and logical access control tools, to assist end-users in finding ID solutions for payment and security matters.
Any person or business may find that this company is suitable for robust authentication solutions to secure identity, let alone supply the technology to be able to quickly and easily identify personnel to grant or deny permission to access controlled areas or sensitive data.
