Zon to Deploy ECtel's Fraud Management Solution

, Portugal's largest triple-play (TV, Broadband Internet and Fixed Telephony) operator to protect revenue through real-time detection and prevention of fraud losses.
This was announced by ECtel Ltd, a global provider of Integrated Revenue Management (IRM) solutions for wireline, wireless, converged and next-generation operators.
Explaining the process of selection, officials said ECtel's solution was selected over several competing systems because of its sophisticated capabilities and superior performance.
"ECtel's FraudView provides us with the tools to maximize our revenue potential and prevent fraud losses critical in a fast growing company such as ours," said Mr. Filipe Rodrigues, Director, Central Finance Department, Zon Multimedia.
Rodrigues added that his company required solutions that provided innovation and flexibility so that they could maintain their position as a leading communication provider. Clarifying the reasons behind the selection of ECtel, he added that only ECtel's solutions had been able to offer them a comprehensive fraud management solution.
According to ECtel, telecom fraud accounts for losses ranging from 3-8% of annual revenues and more companies are looking for a comprehensive fraud management solution. Company officials said that FraudView enables real-time detection and prevention of numerous fraud types, both internal and external, allowing its users to stem revenue losses across all business lines and services.
By choosing ECtel's FraudView 8.2, ZON Multimedia is now equipped with state-of-the-art fraud detection and prevention technologies, including risk management capabilities, new subscriber evaluation, best in class network traffic and usage monitoring.

He added that the order from Zon for the new release of FraudView further reinforced that ECtel’s solutions would help generate significant revenue.
