Most companies today use some kind of Web monitoring software in order to keep an eye on their employees. For large companies, this can incur a large financial burden. WebSpy, a global vendor of Internet monitoring, analysis and reporting software, announced a major change to optimize their pricing strategy that might come as a blessing for many companies.
Since 1996, the WebSpy software is on offer on a perpetual license basis. The new pricing model has a flexible structure with the option of perpetual or subscription licenses. A new element to the package is the inclusion of WebSpy’s Analyzer Standard Internet monitoring and reporting solutions on a subscriptions license for $295 per year.
Unlike competing software, Analyzer Standard requires one installation and can report on an unlimited amount of users (up to 2 GB of log file import). It can be purchased using a secure online facility. Upon the recent expansion of its portfolio, WebSpy introduced the Vantage 2.1 and Vantage Ultimate solutions as a part of its product offering.
The WebSpy software transforms the raw data in log files into manageable information, providing a transparent view over the organizations' Internet, e-mail and network usage. The software enables a company to protect and maximize its Internet investment, cut costs related to unproductive behavior, bandwidth usage and legal liability, at the same time allowing enjoyment of the benefits of a Web-enabled environment.
WebSpy's COO Lagis Zavros said, "Analyzer Standard's new reduced license pricing allows our customers to use a powerful software tool at a very reasonable price. Our research shows that Analyzer Standard is the most cost effective internet monitoring software in the market.”
While competing Internet monitoring products are advertised as low cost solutions, their pricing is often based on the number of users. Per user pricing is undeniably beneficial for home users, but for employee monitoring, the numbers quickly add up.
"Our end goal is to provide customers with an easily attainable and cost effective monitoring solution. Analyzer Standard requires a minimal financial outlay and enables increased productivity, reduced cost and instant return on investment, something particularly important in our prevailing sluggish economic environment," said Zavros.
